Welcome Parents
Our organization is a nonprofit, nonpartisan resource for your child to learn about the power of democracy! There are several ways for your child to participate in Kids Voting programming.
Kids Voting is an excellent program that teaches your child about the power of democracy. Our goal is to actively engage students through Kids Voting curriculum, voting in elections, and special programs.
Here are a few of the programs your child can get involved in:
Voting
We post ballots so all kids can vote online for real issues and candidates – just like adults, only their votes don’t officially count. We tally the results and give a full report on the people and policies the youth of America support. Students that experience voting become adults who become engaged in the community and vote for a lifetime!
KV Council
Made up of students from area High Schools, the council discusses and promotes democracy. They are integral to the Kids Voting mission and help with events, prepare proposals, manage the website and advise the Kids Voting organization on issues that resonate with young people.
Youth @ the Booth
Students 17yrs and up can volunteer to work at the voting polls, get paid and experience the voting process first hand! This program has turned out to be very popular with students along with the older poll workers as they see democracy in action.
Voter Registration Drives
Kids Voting sponsors voter registration drives at area schools using students to explain, promote and run the drive.
People, Power, Politics
Our annual high school conference is a special event with guest speakers that is not to be missed. From media influence to international responsibility...the themes always engage the brains of area youth.
Annual Bi-Partisan Bash
The “Bash” is our signature event and our largest fund-raiser. Every year Kids Voting celebrates local heroes of democracy in a fun and exciting environment. Elected officials from right and left of the aisle join together to support this event. It is also a great opportunity to network with community leaders, business supporters, teachers and KV students.

KV Clubs
Call us and ask about starting or joining a KV Club at your school. Mentored by the KV Council, you can discuss and promote democracy, politicians and the policies that affect your community. It’s a great way to make new friends and make a difference at your school.
